Thank goodness for great events to distract us from the dismal British weather in what is supposed to be our warmer months! From St Tropez with Jaguar and the gorgeous David Gandy (yes he looks as good in the flesh, yes I was the envy of my friends and yes I snagged a photo with him before we all partied way too hard into the early hours) to our very own Ladies Day in partnership with Dallas Burston Polo Club that turned out to yet again be a first class day despite the torrential rain! Even the Hay Festival goers withstood the downpour, which thankfully dried up ahead of the GQ party, which was an exquisite party by the way! I came to realise that us British make the best of everything, even when the odds or weather are against us...

For this issue I chatted with artist David Hodge, who some may know as famous drag artist Dusty O. Fresh from his first-of-a-kind art exhibition at the Houses of Parliament, where every painting I viewed had a 'sold' dot on it, we chatted about his career, influences and having no plans for the future…refreshing or brave not to have plans? I'll let you decide! He also very kindly painted a bespoke piece of art for the charity auction at my Ladies Day which helped raise a fabulous amount for The Prince's Trust and The Shakespeare Hospice. Coverage of the event can be seen in this issue.
Whilst you’re holding out for the weather to heat up, why not busy yourself with the contents of this issue, from lovely eateries and great local shops to spa pampering at The Lygon Arms there's much to see, do and experience whilst you wait... For those heading to the Cotswold Food Festival, my fingers are crossed for you, although the distraction of the food hall and the many sampling opportunities that always present themselves will be more than enough reward if the downpours start again!
