There’s far more to see than just seals at Natureland! Delve into the depths of the jungle in the Reptile House, watch the amusing antics of the meerkats, bask in the beauty of the tropical birds and butterfl ies in the Floral Palace, or take a dive into the Aquarium’s fascinating array of underwater life. Carnegie Medal winning author to open Lincoln Book Festival 2019


Award-winning young adult fi ction author Melvin Burgess will open proceedings at this year’s Lincoln Book Festival as special guest speaker at a free event showcasing new creative writing from people of all ages across the region at the Lincoln Drill Hall on Monday 23rd September, starting at 6.15pm.


The Lincoln Book Festival Launch Party provides the opening to a week of literary celebration. The festival programme will be available soon with tickets for all events from the Drill Hall Box Offi ce. www.lincolnbookfestival.org

Wragby Maze is one of a number of family attractions set right on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Children can have endless fun running around the well clipped conifer maze and the constant sound of children screaming with excitement can be heard as they keep getting lost and then fi nd their way out of the labyrinth. You can set the children a race to search for the famous Wragby Wrabbit, or challenge them to the skills on the three putting greens. There’s a massive lawned garden to run around on and giant garden games to keep them thoroughly amused, such as: Croquet, Tic Tac Toe, Ludo, Draughts, Boules, Snakes and Ladders, Connect 4 and Chess. A bird hide over looks the pond, where you can watch the wild life feeding. Take your binoculars and see how many diff erent species you can spot.
