Welcome to Summer in Bungay 2019 The theme for this year is Peace & Love!
WITH 2019 being the centenary of Peace Year (seen on so many of the street signs in the town centre) and with so much division in the country throughout the past few years we wanted to bring everyone together in a spirit of harmony. Our lovely independent shops will feature Peace & Love styled windows and it is up to you to choose which you think does it best. Our shops will also be taking part in the Black Dog Arts History Trail & exhibition at the Three Tuns throughout the Festival with photographs of how they looked in days of yore. Check out the Black Dog Arts pages in this years programme. There you will also find information on a few other events in the Waveney Valley celebrating Suffolk Day on 21st June. You'll see bright floral displays around town too -again Bungay in Bloom has come up trumps with psychedelic displays all around the town. The whole town is taking part in the Festival - with many exciting events at the Castle, in our churches, at the Fisher, at the Community Centre, in the library and around the town and surrounding countryside. Our closing ceremony - the Festival Freak Out won't exactly replicate the Isle of Wight Festival but it will be fun - wear flowers in your hair!
