GP practice praised for ‘outstanding’ service


PATIENTS inMardenwill be re- assured to learn that the care they receive has been rated outstand- ing by an independent inspector, placing theirmedical centre inthe top 3%in the country. The centre in ChurchGreenwas


visited by a team from the Care Quality Commission, led by chief inspectorDr Rosie Bennyworth. The surgery looks after 6,450 pa-


tients and is operated by doctors Streeter,Potter,Morgan andEstall. The practice was rated good in all areas and outstanding for care and leadership, to receive its overall grade of outstanding. The inspection team report’s


said: “The culture of the practice and theway it is led andmanaged drives the delivery and improve- ment of high-quality, person-cen- tred care. “Leaders had an inspiring


shared purpose, striving to deliver andmotivate staff to succeed. “Services were planned and de-

Flat gas leak


A MAN was treated by para- medics for the effects of inhaling gas at a flat above commercial premises in Maidstone on May 4. Firefighters searched the property to dealwith the leak.
