Dakota West, Brenham, won the youth
average and the circuit buckle at South Texas Cutting Horse Association’s April 27-28 shows in Brenham. He was riding Meradas Lil Boon, owned by his grandpa, Jim Ross.
Justin Chalmers Performance Horses,
recently announced relocation to Schulenberg and partnership with Dees Cattle, with an out- standing facility and better cattle supply. Chalmers specializes in cutting horses and will now attend all major aged events and weekend shows. He will be training for the public, ac- cepting 2- and 3-year-olds as well as aged event horses. Cheyenne Guelker and Bob Evanswere
married on May 4, in an outdoor ceremony at Chandelier Ridge in Breckenridge. It was a tra- ditional yet personalized event, with traditional flowers plus cacti and succulents, and the usual wedding march was replaced by the theme song to Lonesome Dove. The newlyweds now reside in Stamford.
Hollywoodstinseltown became NRHA’s
newest Two Million Dollar Sire on May 4, thanks to recent successes of offspring at the NRBC in Katy. Silva Reining Horses, Pilot Point, own the 2004 stallion, sired by the late NRHA Hall of Famer and Six Million Dollar Sire Hollywood Dun It and out of Hall of Fame Inductee Miss Tinseltown. His top-earning off- spring include Tinseltown Fly Guy, Tinsel- town Flash, Hollywooddirtysecret, Shining In Town, and Smokinghot Hollywood.
Rachel Pozzi, originally of Edgewood,
NM, graduated May 4 from Tarleton State University, Stephenville, with a BS Degree in Environmental Engineering Technology. After a celebratory Caribbean cruise, she will pursue a Masters of Environmental Science Degree and Social Policy.

Teri Sims, Seagoville, won the Ladies’
Derby Big Hat Cutting at USCHA’s May 4 show at Texas Star Ranch in Sulphur Spring.
Charles Russell Bushaw, Weatherford,
won the Polly Hollar Memorial Bluebonnet Stakes circuit championship and buckle May 4-5 in Brenham. Mounted on Crown Ranch’s Peptotudie, he marked a 76 Saturday and a 77 Sunday.
Henry Keller Kittler was born May 10,
measuring 21 inches long and weighing 7 pounds, 1 ounce! He’s the first for Hayley (Saul) and Keller Kittler, Des Arc, AR.
Lance Bryson took the reins as NCHA’s
Chief Financial Officer on May 20. Originally from Illinois, he has over ten years of finance and accounting experience, has extensive ex- perience in the horse and agriculture industries, and grew up showing Quarter Horses. He and his partner, Ryan Painter, live in Aubrey.
Calyn Halvorson, Guthrie, OK, gradu-
ated May 23 from Oklahoma Christian School in Edmond. Come fall, he will attend Cisco College, Cisco, TX, where he has signed to play college baseball. Rebecca and Wayne Halvorson are his proud parents.
Losses Bet Yer Blue Boon, a red roan 1990 mare
by Freckles Playboy out of Royal Blue Boon, died May 1 following colic surgery. The 2000 NCHA Open World Champion had lifetime earnings of $332,960, and was trained and shown by Lindy Burch for Oxbow Ranch,
