Hampton University Men’s Golf Finishes Fifth at FAMU CARRABELLE, Fl. – Te
Hampton men's golf team participated in the Florida A&M Invitational at St. James Bay this weekend and finished fiſth aſter rounds of 321-318 for a 639 total Bethune-Cookman won
the
event aſter rounds of 297-288 for a 585 total to squeak out a six stroke victory over host FAMU who shot 290-301 for a 591. Arriek Douglas was

Hampton with rounds of 78-80 for a 158 total and finished tied for 22nd. Jordan Samuels finished in 31st
aſter rounds of 79-83 for a 162 total. Jairus Gaines was
two spots
behind Samuels in 33rd with rounds of 82-84 for a 166. Taylor Osborne was alone in
39th with rounds of 85-88 for a 173. Hampton is now off until the Big

finisher for Hampton with rounds of 82-71 for a 153 total and a tied for 13th finish. He improved 20 spots aſter his one-under round on Sunday. Eerett Whitten , Jr., was next for

CNU Men's Golf Led by Seniors David Rabil & William Snyder at
Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. --
Seniors William Snyder and David Rabil each tied for 33rd in the 54- hole tournament in Georgia this weekend, firing matching 220's at the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational. Te four-over Par finishes highlighted CNU's 22nd place effort as a team aſter the team carded a 916 (307-304-305). Finishing at +52 aſter three
rounds of action, the Captains squeaked ahead of Centre College (+53) and just three strokes behind Transylvania (+49), receiving votes in the GCAA National Rankings. Te Captains played the 6,700- yard Pine Lakes course as the Jekyll Island Golf Club all three days among a talented field of 30 teams and 150 players. Snyder had one of the most
consistent tournaments in the field, tying for fith in total number
of pars with 39 in 54 holes. Rabil led the team in birdies, with 10, over the course of the weekend. In Sunday's final round, it was Snyder who finished with the best day by a stroke with an Even Par 72 while Rabil gave back just one on the final day with a 73. Starting on the first hole, Snyder
put together an exceptional round with a birdie on the Par 5 first and eight straight pars to go out with a 35. He then came back in in 37 strokes with a pair of bogeys and another birdied, again on a Par 5, to finish the day at Even par. His second 72 of the weekend matched his third lowest score of the season. Rabil also went out in 35 strokes
with a pair of birdies and one bogey. He scored a two on the 173-yard Par 3 third hole and a four on the 523-yard Par 5 seventh. On the back nine, he added two more birdies,

both on par fives, and went back to the clubhouse in 38 strokes. Carson Castelli logged the most
birdies on the day for CNU, pouring in five during Sunday's final round. Castelli finished the 54-hole tourney at +22 with a six-over 78 in the final round. Senior Kurt Funkhouser was the final score of the day for CNU at
10-over with an 82, and the senior registered a pair of birdies. Sunday's drop score came from Chris Brugge, who wrapped up the weekend at +35 with an 11-over 83. CNU is now set to travel to
Plano, Texas next weekend for the Texas Cup in on Te Courses at Watters Creek.
