Letter from the President
On behalf of the entire NKBA California Capital Chapter, I would like to welcome you to the 8th annual Kitchen & Bath Design and Remodeling Guide and Member Directory. With kitchens & baths as the most essential rooms in our homes, this directory is a valuable resource for homeowners and our professional industry.
The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) is a non-profit association, representing every sector of the kitchen and bath industry. From choosing a designer to selecting a contractor, the NKBA can provide inspiration as well as expert advice, materials and finishes for all your home and remodeling projects.
Interiors can take on many designs, but how they work is of utmost importance. NKBA designers are trained to deal with more than what makes a space look wonderful. They use problem-solving skills that focus on and satisfy your needs, designing environments that balance your desires, ergonomic needs and budget.
This issue is a great resource, offering extraordinary ideas for your home and remodeling projects. In the following pages we showcase our 2019 Design Competition winners as well as many examples of projects, designed and built by certified NKBA design professionals and contractors. Also included is a listing of our industry professionals who can help with any kitchen and bathroom project you have planned.
2018 was an amazing year for NKBA! Looking back, our outstanding events were numerous; networking and educational programs, the Annual Golf Tournament co-hosted with NARI of Sacramento, the inaugural ‘Chopped Challenge’ - an amazing social event and cook-off with NARI of Sacramento, the Annual Design Competition and Holiday Awards Dinner and our own Sacramento Regional Design & Build Event, showcasing David Garibaldi. For the second year, this event was a huge success! We raised money that will go directly towards ‘The Avenues Project’, a 5-home development benefitting 5 families and 14 children and will be their second largest development in 32 years.
Going forward, it is again with great pride that I serve the Council and Membership as President. I want to thank all of you who have given your time and talents to NKBA through hard work and support, especially my fellow Council Members, Industry Professionals and Chapter Members, both emerging and seasoned. Your efforts are clearly evident in everything our Chapter does and none of these activities would be possible without all of you.
