AWARD-WINNING L ANDSCAPE DESIGNER GROWS BUSINESS

Award-winning landscape designer Peter Dowle, is growing his business with a new horticultural destination, Leaf Creative in Huntley, which officially opens in March.

Peter, founder of Howle Hill Nursery, has created a welcoming place for gardeners to find everything from pots and plants to help with design, and great coffee too!

Although Leaf Creative opened its doors earlier this year, it officially launches on March 2nd with the very best in spring planting to get the gardening season underway in style.

Leaf Creative has a wide-ranging plant selection that includes bulbs, perennials, shrubs and trees with space on the six-acre site for ‘garden vignettes’ showing ways of combining plants to produce beautiful displays.

There are pots to display your plants, compost, tools and a hand- picked selection of beautiful indoor plants to bring the garden into your home. Trees and plants can also be hired to make any occasion extra special. The talented Howle Hill design team has relocated to Huntley and offers a service that covers everything from tackling problem corners to a complete redesign of your garden.

“Leaf Creative is a one-stop gardening destination giving you everything from design to planting” says Peter.

Adding to the relaxing atmosphere is the coffee shop, which has an ethical ethos with artisan coffee, organic teas and a selection of handmade and vegan cakes. It also serves light lunches.

Meanwhile, at the Howle Hill site, which remains open to the public, the nursery team will be continuing to produce top quality plants for use in the landscape business and for sale to gardeners and landscape designers.

The first major venture under the new Leaf Creative flag will be at the RHS Malvern Spring Festival. Peter, a past winner of gold medals and ‘Best in Show’ awards at the prestigious event, has designed a contemporary space for the show garden competition. Sculptures by Simon Gudgeon, which were a highlight of last year’s award-winning design, will again be a central feature.
