LET THE GOOD TIMES BE-GIN AT SIBLING DISTILLERY

LewisLoves.com is a Cotswolds and South West lifestyle blog run by Adam and Sarah Lewis, sharing the very best the area has to offer. “Food is a particular passion of ours, and we can't wait to share our hidden gems with you. You can also follow us over on Twitter @adamlewisloves and Instagram @sarahlewisloves for foodie inspiration and much more besides."

Spring has finally sprung and the Cotswolds are looking beautiful. So this month, we're getting into the Spring spirit with a tour of the Sibling Gin Distillery in Cheltenham. As the name suggests, Sibling Distillery was founded in 2015 by four siblings; Cicely, Clarice, Felix and Digby. You'll find reminders of their close relationship throughout the gin making process; even the bottle design reflects their sibling status (the four dots above the logo are spaced out like a timeline to represent their age differences).

Whilst Sarah and I take our gin very seriously, we think distillery tours should be both fun and informative; we've been on tours that border on patronising or assume a certain level of expertise. Instead, Clarice and Cicely delivered perhaps the most entertaining tour we've ever had - they are natural presenters and wear their passion and pride for the distillery on their sleeves. They talk quickly and constantly interrupt each other with interesting and witty asides, and it's great as you never feel like they're bored and trotting out a well-worn script. They even happily accommodated baby Harry on the tour; quite possibly their youngest ever visitor at four months old.

Unusually for tours and tastings, the gin on offer in the tasting is unlimited - and they really mean it. You can imagine how happy I was that Sarah had offered to drive - no mother's ruin for her. Clarice and Cicely gave us a guided tour through their gin range, but were simultaneously always on the lookout to top up empty glasses. From their distinctive triple distilled gin with notes of blueberry and vanilla, to their lemon and rosemary infused Spring edition, there's definitely something to tempt everyone's taste buds. They also provided us with a lovely selection of nibbles to soak it up, and will even let you leave the car overnight if you want to! On the way out, make sure you stock up in the shop as they offer a generous 15% discount for folks on the tour.

There's excitement in the Sibling Distillery camp too as they're in the process of relocating to new premises across the road. Their new distillery will be bigger, better and if the girls have their way, hopefully a bit warmer too. Whether you visit now or at their new premises, we're sure you'll have an amazing time. Just make sure you're not the designated driver!
