Will Rogers Coliseum in Fort Worth hosted its final rodeo for Fort
Worth Stock Show and Rodeo on February 9. Built in 1936, the Will Rogers “The World’s Original Indoor Rodeo”, will revert to a year-round eques- trian center, when the $540 million Dickies Arena is scheduled for comple- tion by late 2019, in time for the 2010 Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo. The new multipurpose arena is located 5 blocks south of the Will Rogers, will seat 14,000, will be the new home to Fort Worth Stock Show rodeo per- formances, and will host concerts, sporting events and family entertainment.
The NRHA announced February 13 that Gunner (AQHA Colonels
Smoking Gun, APHA Colonels Smokingun) is the association’s latest $11 Million Sire. Tim and Colleen McQuay owned the 1993 stallion. His top earners have been Tinker With Guns, Gunners Tinseltown, Americasnext- gunmodel, Gunners Special Night, and Gunnatrashya, all with NRHA life- time earnings of well over $200K.

19 at the MCHA Winter Show, Ardmore, OK, with a 75 on Draggin A Hawk.

Senior Youth at Big Country CHA’s January 26 event in Sweetwater. Bobbie Sue Shore, Goodrich, and Prettysmoothpepper won the $5K
Novice NP at Bell Co CHA’s January 26 event in Belton. Kristin Stolee, Hartshorne, OK, showed Jardots Jewels Catherine to
win the titles Champion Novice Adult Donkey and Champion Adult Don- key at FWSSR’s Donkey and Mule Show January 26-27!
