Inside ICI

A Greeting to First Time Readers By Joseph E. Fritz, Executive Director W

hen opening your mail this morning, you may have asked yourself, “Why am I getting a

copy of INCAST Magazine?” Whether you asked that question or not, I’ll tell you why. The February issue of INCAST Magazine is our annual Buyer’s Guide, and it is our practice to get this issue into the hands of as many foundries as possible to better serve our Affiliate Members (suppliers). This year, we have augmented the February circulation by over 400 foundries, many of which are art foundries, while others operate in the industrial sector.

Putting this magazine in your hands

also serves another purpose. That is to introduce you to INCAST Magazine, the official magazine of the Investment Casting Institute (ICI) and the European Investment Casters’ Federation (EICF). INCAST is the world’s only monthly magazine dedicated to the investment casting industry. The magazine has a diverse

editorial calendar with each month focusing on a different aspect of

the investment casting process. Additionally, there are several special issues, starting with January, which is the Forecast Issue. This issue addresses global market trends and is comprised of articles written by contributing authors from around the world.

February is the Buyer’s Guide featuring a directory listing of our industry suppliers, classified by service type and then listed in full detail from A to Z. In August, INCAST publishes its Issue, which highlights

Foundry ICI

and EICF foundries. This issue, much like the current one, has an augmented circulation, but rather than going out to foundries, it is sent to casting buyer’s, engineers and artists. October is the Show Issue, covering the highlights from the world’s largest investment casting event, the ICI’s Technical Conference and Expo. The year is rounded off with the Education Issue

in December, highlighting the

activities of our students, schools and scholars.

December also showcases

the ICI and EICF photographs taken throughout the year. The ICI and the EICF are dedicated to the promotion of the industry, both hosting annual events to encourage technological

collaboration, offer a networking platform

and the industry.
