Nathan Carter’s Twitter handle says it all for his many fans – ‘IamNathanCarter’. Born in Liverpool to an Irish family, he started gigging when he was still at school. Mixing Irish folk music with country, many crossover artists try to crack America and fail, but not Nathan. With a little help from his friend Daniel O’Donnell, which he’s very thankful for, he’s played to audiences across the United States and is set to return for more. In this interview, I chat to Nathan about his forthcoming UK tour, why he’d love to work with Ed Sheeran, about performing for the Pope and how Wagon Wheel changed his future – and made even more money for Bob Dylan! Down to earth, as talented as he is good looking, if you haven’t heard of Nathan Carter…where have you been?
