LIVE 24-SEVEN L A BIOSTHETIQUE LOOKING AFTER YOUR CROWING GLORY
La Biosthetique's Director of Education, Sandra Kear- Hetherington travels through the UK extensively, educating and lecturing therapists. She specialises in hair loss and scalp disorders, a growing concern for women. She explains; "One of the biggest issues for women today in relationship to thinning hair and hair loss is simply due to the menopause. I speak to women in there mid to late 30s, who are going through early menopause and women who are suffering right through until their late 50s."
Sandra continues; " First of all, the hots sweats! Sweat is made up of both water and salts, so the more you sweat the more of this you produce and the greater the effect on your hair. (This can also happen when you exercise a lot). Recall how your hair feels when you’ve swam in the sea, it matts and appears dull. Hair will be prone to breakage. Not only is the hair attacked on the surface, but also from under the surface of the scalp and it won’t form to its full potential, it’s weaker, finer hair.”
"Night sweats that come with the menopause can keep you awake and result in low energy which again affects the output

of hair quality and growth. Food and nutrient are fuel for your hair and equally essential, so try to avoid processed foods which often dilutes the nutrient value. A combination of all of the above can affect the hair."
La Biosthétique has a holistic approach to helping you improve the quality and fullness of your hair. They specialise in all areas of temporary and genetic hair loss and with over 60 years of history they can help to take care and improve your hair quality.
