The Investment Casting Institute was treated to a visit by Paramelt retiree, Naum Cherpakhov, a longtime friend of the Institute. Naum is currently working with the Publications Committee on the revision of the Atlas of Wax Defects.


Steve Sikorski, president of MAGMA Foundry Technologies and SIGMA Plastic Services received an “Outstanding Alumni Award” from Pittsburg State University.

Ransom & Randolph (R&R) announced Sam Duncan’s appointment as Product & Application Engineer. Duncan will be responsible for technical support to R&R customers, providing product solutions and troubleshooting process issues. Duncan has experience in quality control and research and devel- opment, having interned at GreenLeaf Corporation.
