rogue traders KENT Police are reminding resi- dents to be on their guard against rogue traders following suspi- cious activity inWalderslade. It is reported that at about


12.20pm on October 17, a pen- sioner living near Robin Hood Lane was approached by a man offering to carry outmaintenance to her property. After the man knocked on the


victim’s door, he is said to have demanded £3,000 in cash to clear her drains. In efforts to persuade her, he claimed a neighbour had already agreed to have their drains cleaned and had gone to the bank to getmoney, but he re- fused to provide details of who thiswas, citing data protection. The woman refused to hand


over any money and police were called. The man is described as white and of broad build.Hewas about 6ft tall and was wearing a yellow hard hat, high-visibility jacket and dark trousers. Call 101 to report any problems

hewas regional chairmanwith re- sponsibility for operations across London, the South East, south coast andWales. He also ran the StModwen/Per-


simmonnational joint venture, and a 400-person strong civil engineer- ing and groundworks business. Collectively, these businesses


turn overmore than £1bn a year. Before joining Persimmon, Mr


Taylor spent over adecade at inter- national cost, projectmanagement and property consultancy, Rider Levett Bucknall, where he was chief executive from2007 to 2014. There, he was involved in a


range of major infrastructure and energy projects, such as the 2012


LondonOlympics and nuclear de- commissioningwork at Sellafield. He began his career in on-site en-


gineering, contracts and project management at Tarmac, Birse, and Sisk, before moving into project management at PCMand head of projectmanagement atGVA. Mr Yandle will remain with the
