Remembrance Day Cllr Gooch proposed a donation of £25 to be sent to StMargaret’s Church towards the cost of printing service sheets – thiswas agreed. Itwas decided not to buy commemorative badges to hand out to Scouts and Guides and key people at the service due to the cost. Internet connection Cllr Gooch had spoken to Plusnet and BT about installation prices and line rental charges. Itwas felt that having two separate suppliers for the phone line andwifi could cause issues sowere keen to stick to one supplier. Itwas agreed to proceedwith BT. Play equipment Cllr Gooch had secured the £10,000match funding fromthe borough council andwould continue to look for further grants. One of the companies that had visited the site and measured up to produce plans had not got back to the council. Cllr Gooch had sent details of a different company for the council to approach. Household wasteMemberswere against the proposals in the KCCwaste site consultation, as they believed itwould make a bad situationworse, encouraging fly-tipping. Burial groundwall The assistant clerk advised the council that they had been unsuccessful in obtaining a grant from Maidstone Lions Club. The council agreed to part fund theworks fromthe current budget and reserves. Theworkwould be carried out uponMr Turner’s advice. PCSO Itwas noted that the newPCSOwas Ross Russell. The clerkwould send hima formal invitation to the nextmeeting. Planning commiee Itwas agreed that Cllr Gary Butler and CllrMichael Hogg would be on the planning commi�ee. Following this, Cllr PaulWilby said that as therewere nowenoughmembers on the commi�ee, hewould step down. Newsleer CllrAbigail Hogg said the newsle�erwas not being distributed to all residents. Itwas agreed that the clerk would deliver the newsle�ers to the councillors responsible for delivering them.A resident on Beaconsfield Road emailed to say they had not received the newsle�er. The clerk had taken a copy to this resident. PedestrianAction Group CllrMallison and Cllr Susan Hogg had spoken to residents in Beaconsfield Road about the parking on Burial Ground Lane. Residents had asked that traffic fromthewaste site enter the site by travelling along Church


Road on to Lower Tovil and then on to Tovil Green and Burial Ground Lane. When leaving thewaste site itwas suggested that traffic goes via Farleigh Hill. Residents said they did notwant lines on the road as carswould still park on the pavement in Burial Ground Lane. Bollards were requested. Itwas agreed to forma working party and engagewith KCC on thema�er. FootpathsNorth Loose Residents’Action wished to plantwhips on their side of the KC22 footpath. They had also offered to lay newstone on both sides of the boundary. They had asked the parish council to facilitate the footpath closure for work to be carried out. Itwas agreed to do this on condition that NLRA agreed to indemnify the parish council against any claims thatmight arise as a result of the work. CllrWilby explained that the council could acquire stone to refurbish footpaths fromKCC at no cost. Itwas agreed to form aworking party to carry out thework. Cllr Lloyd Porter said a hedge blocked the viewfor pedestrianswhere the path comes out of Dean Street. CllrWilbywould speak to KCC about this. Planter Itwas agreed that a planterwould be built out of railway sleepers thatwere in the shed. CllrWilby suggested pu�ing the planter on Cripple Street underneath the Kent Highways Tovil sign. Itwas agreed to put it at the bo�omof Tovil Hill underneath the Tovil sign, but if surplus materialwas available, to put another planter in Cripple Street. Neighbourhood planAssistant clerk Lisa Racke� said that advertswould be displayed for residents to join a steering group. Itwas agreed tomake the neighbourhood plan a regular agenda item.
