hibitors Assoc’s Go For The Gold event, held September 1-3 at Clare- more Expo Center, drew good numbers of ex- hibitors, many leaving richer with cash or prizes. HP champions included Elian Roehrs (WT-10- 18/Seek The Deck), C.J. Kirkland (5-9/BCQHDia- mond Lass), Marlee McElwee (Youth/Queens Love Me), Amberly Phelps (Am/One Smart Connection), Susan Bollich (Select-Am/Come On Suzy) and Allean Horn (Open/Xclusive Gold). Exquisite Zippo, owned by Rystrom Quarter Horses, was Overall HP Stallion and HP Performance Stallion, both for the third year in a row! Caribbean Touchdown was HP Weanling Mare and Supernatural Fella HP Weanling Stallion.


At the Stock Horse of Texas September


7-9 show in Hamilton, Texas A&M Univer- sity’s Stock Horse Team member Kelly Ranly showed Pepto Rey Lori in the novice division, taking firsts in cow, reining, and pleasure and third in trail, to be named novice division cham- pion. Courtlyn Ranly and Shiners Hickory Girl placed tenth in the intermediate division, with 4th place pleasure and 9th both reining and cow.
