Stop Press! BBC Music Introducing in Norfolk gets Bigger!

From the 8thto the 10thNovember, BBC Music Introducing Live 18 is taking place at Tobacco Dock in London. Whether you are a musician,

producer, or wanting to find out more about the music business it’s a great two day event.

S

o, for three days this London venue turns into the centre of the music world for anyone

wanting to explore their passions and interests. There are over 100 Masterclasses and interactive sessions, practical workshops and question and answers featuring over 250 speakers from Tom Grennan to Glastonbury’s Emily Eavis – in other words, right across the music industry. What this means is it’s a very full-on 3 days.

Now, you may be wanting to get some musical tips or some feedback about your own music. Well, there will be people able to talk technical or about how to approach radio stations and the like, to get the best of your music out there. There will be

performances from top acts and places where you can meet those who have already taken the path you want to follow.

If you are more on the technical side, there are BBC sound engineers to meet and get advice from and with Live radio broadcasts from the event throughout the three days, you will be able to see how that whole side of the industry works in practice.

There are still more announcements to come about acts that are playing, about events that are taking place and about activities you can take part in – so the real message is go to the BBC Music Introducing Live 2018 site and get registered now to book your place.

We mentioned last month that we had some news we couldn’t announce. Well now we can tell all! From Thursday 18thOctober we are going to be broadcasting a brand new 3 hour BBC Music Introducing in Norfolk show. Every week we will be on-air on BBC Radio Norfolk from 7-10pm. It doesn’t just mean more music (which it does, which is great!) – it also means we can do some different things too.

We are keen to bring you more live sessions and for the first time turn the attention on local DJs, producers and mixers in a final hour where we will be focussing on electronic, dance and rap.

This means we are keen to hear from you as artists and producers and as ever, want anyone making music to send it in to us on the Uploader so we can hear exactly what you are up to.
