You're a philanthropist and have many charitable efforts raising hundreds of thousands for causes and you're patron of Brain Tumour Research, your own experience of having a brain tumour must have been incredibly frightening, especially as you had two young sons. It seems that with experience you take something from it and grow, how did you cope during that time? What did you draw on? I have to say this was one of the scariest times of my life, but I wasn't scared for myself, I was scared for my children. I have been blessed with two beautiful five-year-old boys who are very close to their mommy and depend on mommy for the first 18 years of their life. I have to be here for my children. Thank goodness I had an amazing neurosurgeon and he removed the tumour entirely. Thank goodness it was benign. So as my surgeon said, I will probably be sticking around until I'm 90.
As if modelling, managing a very successful brand and business isn't enough, you’re also an actress and have played many roles over the years, but you have a leading role in a new film for Amazon Prime, tell us a bit about that? Shooting In2ruders was quite daunting, but exciting for me. I really had to come out of my comfort zone and become something, that
by nature, I am not. My director, Naeem, pushed me to the limit and it was so exciting, as we got such a powerful result.
You look incredible, what are your top beauty tips? Are there products you couldn't live without? This one is quite simple and everyone can get this one – it's called happiness and gratitude.
How has being a mum changed you as a working woman? Being a mom has changed me in every respect. It's taught me patience; it's taught me how to love so deeply and unconditionally; it's taught me sacrifice; it's given me purpose; it's given me happiness; it totally fulfils me. As far as business is concerned... holy smokes, it's so expensive to have kids!!! If you thought I had ambition when I was younger, boy you should see me now. Having kids gives you a whole new purpose.
