Downtown Buzz News from the Downtown Winnipeg Business Improvement Zone

Partnering to keep downtown Winnipeg clean and safe K

eeping our streets safe and clean doesn’t happen by accident. It happens when dedicated and

hardworking people do their job well. Te Downtown Winnipeg BIZ Enviro Team works tirelessly to ensure our core is clean and tidy and a place to be enjoyed by all. “Our Pop-up Parks and Toilet get a lot of

attention, but it’s the men and women of our Enviro Team that ensure these spaces and those around them stay clean. Tey really do the dirty work in downtown Winnipeg so that we can all enjoy it. Tat’s why our partnerships are so important, because without our partners we simply wouldn’t have the resources to make it happen,” said Downtown Winnipeg BIZ CEO Stefano Grande. Te Downtown Winnipeg BIZ’s finan-

cial partners at the City of Winnipeg and their newest partner, Winnipeg Free Press allow the organization to focus on doing the job of keeping our downtown clean and safe. If the public stairwell you’re in doesn’t

smell like urine, it’s because the Enviro Team was there. If you don’t see cigarette butts all over the sidewalks, it’s because the Enviro Team was there. If your transit shelter is clean, the Enviro Team was there. If you see graffiti one day and not the next, the Enviro Team was there. When you see the Enviro Team cleaning

our downtown it’s because several part- ners saw value in that service and support it. For that, the Downtown Winnipeg BIS is grateful, because a clean downtown is a vibrant downtown.

The Downtown Biz Enviro Team are working hard to clean up downtown.
