Page10 It’s collaboration month!

With a landmark conference, a new brand and a number of solutions new to the market September is collaboration month.

New brand added by StarLeaf

‘Teamline by StarLeaf’ is a new range of premium meeting room solutions for Skype for Business and Microsoft Teams. In the corporate space, Star- leaf argues that video meetings should be of a high quality, re- liable, always on and offer in- vestment protection, which is a key differentiator when com- paring Teamline's codec-based architecture with a PC-based solution.

The new Teamline 5140 mod- el is designed for new collab- oration areas, including huddle spaces and newly video en- abled, smaller meeting rooms. The new solution comes in four configurations, allowing cus-

tomers to choose from PTZ or fixed USB cameras, with single or double screen support. The Teamline 5250 model has been created for boardrooms and larger meeting rooms. It is the AV integrator's choice for large meeting rooms and board- rooms. It is positioned to slot in and replace an existing H.323 estate, as well as meeting the

need for new AV videoconfer- encing suites. Both codecs can utilise the Maestro centralised management solution to cen- trally manage all Teamline equipped rooms. The Teamline range is posi- tioned as the option for me- dium to large businesses who appreciate the qualities of a traditional H.323 videoconfer- encing solution, but want to take advantage of a Skype for Business or Microsoft Teams environment. Unlike PC-based options, Teamline’s essential Microsoft elements reside in a Unix wrapper, within the codec, and so have a double protective layer. As a native component, the solution still talks directly to the 365 server, but all software updates are delivered via the Maestro management solution at the discretion of the user. Teamline is available from StarLeaf resellers with immedi- ate effect. If you are interested in becoming a reseller contact Sales through starleaf.com.

Zoom relocates in London to accommodate growth

California-based communica- tions pioneer Zoom Video Com- munications, Inc. is growing so fast in the UK that it plans to in- crease its headcount in the next year and has moved to a sub- stantial new office in London. The new offices in The Place, 175 High Holborn, right in the heart of London, are a testament to the strategic importance of British industry to the San Jose company, which was founded by ex-Cisco engineering leader Eric S. Yuan in 2011. The investment in a five-year lease for the office shows the commitment that Zoom is mak- ing to ‘UK PLC’. It has commit- ted to office space that will sup- port its anticipated expansion and plans to increase its head- count in the UK.
