Day 1 UK - In fl ight. Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service collects you from home for your fl ight to Johannesburg.
Day 2 Pretoria - Sandton. After arriving into Johannesburg, we take an orientation tour of Pretoria. It includes a stop at the hilltop monument that commemorates the settling of South Africa’s interior by the Boer pioneers, known as Voortrekkers. We stay overnight in Sandton, close to lots of great shops.
Day 3 Panorama Route - Kruger National Park. We head east this morning into the state of Mpumalanga. Our journey follows part of the famous Panorama route, which includes Pilgrim’s Rest, a national monument to the late 19th century gold rush. Weather permitting, we’ll stop at God’s Window for an amazing view from the top of the Drakensberg Escarpment down to the Lowveld below. We continue to our hotel at the gateway to Kruger National Park
Day 4 Kruger National Park. An unforgettable day as we embark on a full-day game drive in the iconic Kruger National Park. Our 4WD safari vehicles offer incredible views of the surrounding area and hopefully the ‘Big Five’: lions, elephants, buffalos, leopards and rhinos. As well as nearly 150 different mammal species, you’ll fi nd hundreds of bird species and Lowveld fl ora here.
Day 5 Kruger National Park. A full day to relax poolside at our hotel or return to Kruger National Park for an optional game drive for more magnifi cent wildlife viewing.
Day 6 Kruger National Park - Port Elizabeth. We drive to Johannesburg Airport and fl y to Port Elizabeth, located on South Africa’s Eastern Cape. The governor of the Cape Colony named the city after his late wife in 1820.
Day 7 Tsitsikamma National Park - Knysna. This morning we head west to Tsitsikamma National Park, now part of the wider Garden Route National Park. We stop at Storms River to see the dramatic coastline and forest. Later we continue to Knysna, in the heart of the Garden Route.
Our South Africa ‘top three’ tour offers you a wonderfully diverse experience of a remarkable country. We’ll head out to spot the Big Five and other local inhabitants on a 4WD safari in the renowned Kruger National Park. Then we’ll travel the dramatic Garden Route coastal road, before taking a cruise across the wildlife-rich Knysna lagoon. Finally, we’ll spend four nights exploring beautiful Cape Town, including Table Mountain and Boulders Beach (where characterful penguins waddle across the sand).
We walked one evening from the safari vehicle deep in the bush to see a cheetah with four very young cubs. Standing just 15 yards from a very relaxed wild animal family was just superb.
