VTHE OLD TRUMAN BREWERY PRESENTS: FOR, A BRAND NEW VEGAN LIFESTYLE FESTIVAL THIS AUGUST

The iconic East London hotspot is set to host a celebration of conscious living, wellness and all things plant-based this August, featuring adidas Studio LDN, Vegan Nights, an immersive vegan exhibition with Plant Pop and more.

The Old Truman Brewery is proud to present a brand new vegan lifestyle festival, V For. Taking place in the heart of Shoreditch throughout August, V For offers a positive platform for vegans, vegetarians and the V curious. Gathering everything ‘V’, from demonstrations and educational sessions, to fitness events and experiences, V For is the hub for all things vegan this summer. Featuring adidas Studio LDN, Tim Sheiff’s ETHCS collection, Melody Kane’s ‘No Kane No Gain’ and an expansive edition of London’s favourite vegan night market ‘Vegan Nights’, there is no other festival like it.

The first event of its kind, V For is a celebration of plant-based food and conscious living. Bringing together lifelong vegans and sceptics alike, V For provides new opportunity for ethical exploration.

FOOD & DRINK V For will be kicking off with a special edition of the already well-established Vegan Nights on the 2nd August. The foodie favourites from the much-loved night market, who welcome over 2000 monthly visitors, will be on hand with an exhaustive selection of delicious vegan treats.

Elsewhere, explore innovative edible offerings at both Juju’s and Ninety One, as they offer new vegan menus in solidarity with V For on the 11th and 12th August. Similarly, Brick Lane Food Hall will be opening its doors to exclusively vegan and vegetarian food traders for the first time ever on the 4th and 5th. There will also be an immersive vegan exhibition courtesy of Plant Pop, promising an all-encompassing sensory experience, from the 7th August to the 4th September. Meanwhile, champions of American Mexican fusion, DF/Mexico will be launching their own vegan menu during V For as part of their ongoing offering on Hanbury Street.

CLOTHING Away from food, V For will be showcasing the best of ethical fashion, with Tim Sheiff showing off his latest ETHCS collection of eco-friendly sportswear from the 3rd August to the 5th. The ITV Ninja Warrior regular and vegan advocate will also be giving demonstrations and holding workshops for attendees to take part in. There will also be the launch of Compare Ethics, an online product comparison tool documenting different brand’s impacts, whether on the planet, people or animals, with a handpicked selection of favourite pieces, from the 9th

August to the 12th. Earlier in the month, from the 3rd August to the 5th, Beyond Skin will be showcasing the best in vegan and vegetarian footwear, whilst Bare Fashion will be launching London’s first vegan fashion show on the 16th August. Don’t miss Po-Zu’s sustainable fashion rooms which run from the 2nd August to the 5th, allowing guests to explore even more sustainable clothing options that don’t scrimp on style.

HEALTH AND WELLNESS V For is also hosting a range of fun activities to get involved in for body and mind. Adidas Studio LDN will be hosting a month of yoga, mindfulness and lifestyle sessions, complemented with vegan delights served by their in-house fuel bar team. All sessions are totally free and led by expert instructors. Sign up here by sending a message. ‘No Kane No Gain’ will put everyone through their paces with a very special workout event with a twist, as BBC 1Xtra’s Melody Kane promotes a unique blend of fitness, music and entertainment for all ages. Kane will even be rewarding those who take part on the 9th August with a vegan goodie bag, so there’s even more incentive to take part. The Art of Living Foundation will be hosting happiness workshop sessions on the 11th and 12th August, bringing their unique blend of guided meditation, calming breathing techniques and mindfulness to help lower anxiety and improve general wellbeing. Meanwhile on the rooftop, you can find Jessica Skye’s Fat Buddha Yoga sessions from 7pm – 8.15pm on the 7th and 14th August, for those hoping to find inner peace in the bustling city.
