as we hosted our biggest show ever. A total of 60 entries competed in our 10 class day. Several new exhibitors attended the first show of our season and were greeted and cheered on by another great group of spectators. There were some real good cow runs as is the norm and then we finished the day with a 10-head Herd Work class. And get this - 73, 72, 71 were the top three scores. You can see everyone has been working to improve. The results as judged by Todd Bailey were:

Rain and thunderstorms stayed away all day

Horse classes at the Ilderton Area I Quarter Horse shows have been cancelled. They have hosted us there for the last 10-12 years and I fondly remem- ber those Saturday night shows with the arena packed with cheering spectators. I would especially like to thank Ken McLellan for all his support and enthusiasm and encouragement throughout all those years. Cowboy artist and author Will James once wrote: “God put horses on this earth especially to work cows.” In my opinion the Quarter Horse breed has gained so much of its popularity for its exceptional ability to work cattle.
