The NERCHA Board would like to wel-
come new members and extend congratula- tions to all those competing in the first show of the season at Fletcher’s Horse World on May 19 & 20. We appreciate your support and hope you had a good run and enjoyed the days competition. The total entries for the show was the highest to date for the NERCHA. Our photographer, Reece Martin did a
fantastic job capturing all the excitement. The expressions caught on camera of the competi- tors was priceless and confirmed their focus to do well. The photos can be viewed on the NERCHA facebook along with option to pur- chase. I personally enjoyed all 311+ photos! A western pleasure class was offered to
the youth and showed promise for future shows. There were donated awards given thanks to the generosity of members. As they say in our little country paper ...
“ A good time was had by all. “ Beginning at our next show July 7, we
will be offering all of the NERCHA classes at the same price as with all other classes or run- ning concurrently ( including intermediate open and intermediate hackamore) youth 13 & under , select classes ( separate entry fee minus cattle fee if running concurrently ). These classes will be added for the July 7-8 and Sep- tember 1-2 shows. No awards will be given for these classes for this year. All above classes will be a jackpot – will pay the add back &
judge’s fee. The NERCHA year-end awards will be
given on money earned versus score. Are you a stallion owner ? We will be
starting a stallion auction in November or De- cember to fund the Futurity, Derby & Bridle Spectacular in future years. Barb McCaughey will be organizing these events . The Ontario market for good cow horses and cutting bred horses is growing and we would like you to be a part of this growth through the Northeastern Reined Cow Horse Alliance.
