There had been three drug-related calls at Harvest Ridge, Lillieburn and the Bombhole area. Several bogus 999 calls had beenmade fromthe phone box near the newsagents.A resident ofWaterside Court received a bogus call fromsomeone claiming to be the police. The police confirmed theywould not be calling residents randomly and they had visited the resident. LeylandiiA residentwished to discuss the removal of the leylandii that border the village hall fence, forming a barrier to the resident’s garden. The residentwanted an undertaking that upon completion of the project, a suitable vegetative screenwould be put in place. Councillors asked that members of the public to submit ideas for the screen. Bulbs funding The clerk asked for funding for the flower bulbs for the Scouts and Beavers to plant around the parish in the autumn. Cllr Ulph proposed the funding and itwas agreed unanimously. MemorialsWorshippers hadwri�en regardingmemorials at the churchyard. The clerkwouldwrite to the Parochial Church Council to ask if thememorials were in accordancewith the diocese regulations for churchyards. Parish hall Therewere still numerous bookings for children’s parties on Saturdays. There had also been several
larger events booked for Saturday nights. Outdoor gymTherewas to be a site visit to map out the area and prove that the gym was notwithin the three-metre easement area of the pipe. Donation Cllr Stewart informed the parish council that he had run the London Marathon on behalf of Victor, a charity that helped partially-sighted and blind children in the local community.
