09 June – 08 July Jugglers, Clown & Fliers The Forum, Norwich


250 years of circus are being celebrated nationally, and there is a strong circus ethos in Norwich (Oak Street Circus) and Great Yarmouth.


An exhibition looking at the lives of some of Norwich’s forgotten circus families. Discover how a foot-juggling act ended in tragedy and how the “Norwich Clown” ended up performing for the Prince of Wales in 1885. You can also try your hand at tightrope walking or juggling.


10am-4pm / Free Entry


28 July Norwich Pride Across Norwich


Norwich Pride celebrates its 10th anniversary on the 28th July. This guarantees a colourful and welcoming parade. Starting 1pm at City Hall, the procession meanders its way around the streets, Join in or watch the rainbow procession which ends up at Chapelfield Gardens with the main stage show beginning at 2pm Last year saw thousands turn up for the event.


An array of stalls at The Forum from 10am with trade unions, charities and other organisations supporting.


13-14 July Shakespeare at The Cathedral Norwich Cathedral, 7pm


The UK’s premier all male theatre company, The Lord Chamberlain’s Men, return to perform Shakespeare’s spellbinding masterpiece, The Tempest, in the surroundings of the Cathedral Cloisters. A great setting to spend a summer evening watching this enchanting, fast-paced production. Performed in the open air with Elizabethan costumes, music and dance.
