This course provides a one-day introduction to refractories for people with little or no familiarity with the materials, this will include people recently starting


work in the industry or those whose work does not entail technical knowledge of refractories but for who a knowledge of refractory materials would be an advantage. The course does not assume any prior knowledge of refractory.

• RAW MATERIALS USED IN REFRACTORIES • TYPES OF REFRACTORIES • REFRACTORY MANUFACTURING • MATERIAL PROPERTIES AND APPLICATIONS
