EUROPEAN ROAD FREIGHT SPECIALISTS
Primarily founded to specialise in freight services to and from Italy, we have since expanded our portfolio of services to include driver accompanied road freight services to and from Spain, Portugal, Greece and France, as well as providing freight forwarding services between most other Western, Central and Eastern European countries.
Italy, Sicily & Sardinia Our export service operates most days from Manchester and Essex, with fi xed groupage departures on Tuesday, Thursday & Friday. Full loads can be managed any day. Our import service is daily. Whilst covering the whole of Italy, most groupage cargoes are loaded via our partner’s Milan or Verona depot, where we make upwards of 15-20 Groupage trailers per week.
Spain, the Balearics & the Canaries Our services are extensive with an average of 20+ trailers each week serving the whole of Spain and it’s dependencies. We provide road freight groupage services, all capable of carrying dangerous goods, and many off ering temperature controlled. What goes out must come back, so all services are replicated as imports on a minimum twice-weekly service schedule.
Portugal Off ering a minimum of twice-weekly road freight groupage services to and from the primary areas of Oporto and Lisbon, we can carry part load, full load, and express consignments, including the ability to carry dangerous goods on most departures.
Greece We operate between three and fi ve groupage trailers each week, providing a minimum twice-weekly service departing Tuesday and Friday to and from Athens and Thessaloniki. In addition, all departures can carry dangerous goods in scope of ADR.
France Direct to Southern France, we deliver as much as possible directly on international trailer. This decreases transit time and also mitigates potential damages due to transhipping.
Gibraltar & Andorra We provide regular routes into Gibraltar and Andorra. Our service to Gibraltar departs from Manchester every Tuesday and Friday. Our service to Andorra is three times per week every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
DANGEROUS GOODS EXPERTS
25% of our business is made up of the transport of dangerous goods. Many companies shy away from this niche market due to its complexity, so we fi nd that many of our competitors make utilise our services. We are compliant in all aspects and have two on-site DGSAs.
To cater for the many diff erences in regulations, we utilise a bespoke program designed in-house, called the HAZculator®. This collates all IMDG and ADR data, plus Eurotunnel and other tunnel & port data, and returns correct dangerous goods descriptions, including all regulations specifi c to the UN number or chemical. It also makes compatibility checks for up to 20 UN numbers, as well as checking against other non-compatible items, such as foodstuff s.
WAREHOUSE FACILITIES
Our purpose-built premises are on the northern fringe of Manchester close to the M60/M66 junction.
The new facility of 1.5 acres comprises 16,000ft² warehousing, with six access doors, two of which are newly installed dock-levellers capable of handling 10 tons. In addition, the yard area of circa 22,000ft² allows for multiple vehicles on-site and ready for loading and unloading at any one time.
24/7 manned security for the whole business park, including Automatic Number Plate Recognition, CCTV and access and intruder systems ensure the security of our clients’ cargoes when on-site.
