Promotion of the forwarding industry is, of course, one of BIFA’s tasks and to this end Sharon, Robert and Graeme attended a school careers fair recently at Fullbrook Secondary School in New Haw, just outside the M25 southwest of Heathrow. The evening was well supported with 30 stands
promoting everything from beauty therapy, software engineering, the police force and toxicology to veterinary services. Over 300 students from years 9, 10, 11 and the sixth form (aged 13-18) attended with their parents to gather
information and chat over career opportunities and entry requirements. Our display highlighted the country of origin of
everyday items such as clothing, food products, toiletries and entertainment, asking the students to think about how these products end up in store available for purchase. Having been provided with some merchandise by
Ashford-based Sound Moves, we also spoke about the logistics of moving artists on world tours, film crews and major sporting events.

the user-friendliness of these lists and believes that HM Government needs to introduce an electronic means of accessing this data, which would make it easier for traders to check the lists. This would increase awareness and overall compliance. What is prohibited under each
financial sanction depends on the financial sanction regulation. Regulations are imposed by the: • UN’s Security Council – as a member the UK automatically imposes all financial sanctions created by the UN.
• European Union – as a member of the EU, the UK imposes all financial sanctions created by the EU.
• UK government – a small number of financial sanctions are created by the UK government.

Intended format: Each team will play a minimum of
six group games using a cup/plate competition format. By streaming the teams into two competitions, each team is guaranteed at least three matches at an appropriate skill level, therefore keeping everyone involved and interested in the competition. Please email
