DIRECTOR’S MESSAGE
How are we doing? The Florida Police Chiefs Association (FPCA) has entered its
66th year of service. Our Association is dedicated to leading and supporting the
efforts of police chiefs and sworn law enforcement executives in advancing the policing profession and police services. The FPCA continues to promote and advance the highest ethical and profes- sional standards in law enforcement at all levels throughout Flori- da.
All of us affiliated with the FPCA should take pride in what our Association has achieved and the reputation that we have earned within our state and around the country.
Taking pride in whom we are and what we do does not mean
that we can sit back and rest on our achievements. As an Association, we are continually evaluating and re- evaluating what we do, how we do those things, and why we do them. We are also continually examining the environment within which our members work to ensure that we are responsive to their needs and ex- pectations.
In this regard, we need your help. It is important that we hear from our members with their impressions
about our organization’s services and events. We are interested in your views, ideas and thoughts about what else you need from your Association.
Please fill out this brief survey to assist us in evaluating our services. This is your Association. Help us to
make it work better for you. To end, I share with you that I have just celebrated my work anniversary on February 26th. I am hon-
ored to say that I have been employed with the FPCA for 19 years and have served as your Executive Direc- tor since 2004. I am so very grateful to serve those that serve.
