orse of the Year Show is proud to be celebrating its 70th birthday this year, taking place


from Wednesday 3rd – Sunday 7th October 2018 at Birmingham’s NEC Genting Arena. With a full line up of national showing and showjumping championships, Pony Club Mounted Games Prince Philip Cup Final and Osborne Refrigerators Double Harness Scurry Racing – there really is something for everyone! In addition, to celebrate their 70th Anniversary, there will also be double the amount of entertainment displays which will take place each day in the Andrews Bowen International Arena, one of which includes The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment Musical Ride.

Stoneleigh Horse Show judges announced

toneleigh Horse Show is back for 2018, running alongside the British Showjumping


National Championships from Friday 10th – Sunday 12th August at the NAEC Stoneleigh, Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire. Stoneleigh Horse Show will once again be offering more HOYS qualifying opportunities than any other show with 57 HOYS qualifiers on offer.


There is a whole host of different classes from coloureds to cobs, working hunters to lead rein as well as classes for the mountain and moorland breeds. Uniquely at Stoneleigh Horse Show, there will be no membership stipulations for any showing classes, including HOYS qualifiers. Therefore, for competitors who do qualify, a verification period will be held in which time the competitor must become a member of the relevant society within seven working days from the date of the qualifier in order to secure their place in the championship at HOYS.

Study and judges refresher day S


tudy day and judges refresher day to be held at Newton Rigg College, Penrith on 15th


April, organised by the Fell Pony Society and The Northern Dartmoor Group. The day will include talks


and demonstrations on breed type and way of going, both in-hand and ridden, including working hunter pony. There will also be a presentation on feeding the native pony by Saracen Horse Feeds. Open to all interested in

The Arden Hotel is a 10 minute walk from the NEC. The package in the Arden Hotel is £336.00.
