Tash Whitaker, has joined Moorcrofts from Dun & Bradstreet, where she worked in various roles for over 15 years, most recently as a compliance consultant and subject matter expert and previously as data and operations leader – running data operations for multiple partner markets. During a six-year break from Dun & Bradstreet, she worked at Cisco. Whitaker is highly experienced in business process, operations management, analytics, global data management and compliance solutions. She also holds an ICA Advanced Certification in Business Compliance.


Alexander Marcham has been appointed as a director with KPMG’s private client team in the South, based in the Thames Valley. Until January, Marcham was based in the firm’s London office where he provided tax guidance to private wealth individuals and their families, high-earning executives and owners of large private business – in particular those with a non-domiciled background or an international focus. Previously, he was a senior manager with Deloitte.


Boyer is delighted to announce that Vanessa Rowell has been appointed as a senior planner in its Wokingham office. Rowell joins from Wokingham Borough Council, where she worked in the planning team; advising primarily on strategic development and policy work. She is a chartered town planner and was on the steering group for several of the Berkshire development needs assessments including the Berkshire Strategic Housing Needs Assessment. Rowell will support the Wokingham planning team on a range of planning applications and site promotions in and around the Thames Valley.


Blake Morgan commercial litigation partner Susie Dryden has been elected by CBI members to join the South East Regional Council. CBI regional councillors form a network of more than 500 senior business executives that play a leading role in influencing the UK policy landscape at a devolved, regional and national level. In her new role, Dryden will work with the CBI to shape its messages to the Government on a range of issues from fostering innovation to open access to global markets. She joins Blake Morgan corporate partner Rob Cherry who sits on the Welsh Regional Council.


HMT has announced the promotion of Julia Carruthers to associate director in its corporate finance team. She began her career in 2005 with J P


Morgan in Los Angeles and then in London. She joined HMT in January 2013 and is now leading the financial modelling department. HMT has strengthened its


corporate finance team with the appointment of Charles Laughton as associate director. He joins HMT after nine years working with investment banks and corporate finance boutiques. He has advised and led the development of entrepreneurial businesses from start-ups through to AIM-listed clients. He brings with him an extensive network across private equity, venture capital, family offices and debt providers.


Hampshire-based HR consultancy, Reality HR, has recruited five new members of staff. Just prior to Christmas, the award-winning HR consultancy appointed Emily Gent as an HR adviser. She brings 12 years’ experience as an HR generalist to the company with experience in the areas of recruitment, employee relations, change management, project management and organisational design and structure. Melanie Plotkin has been appointed as marketing executive bringing almost 30 years’ of B2B marketing experience with her. Also appointed is Philippa Charlton as finance controller following a career of almost 20 years in the industry as an executive assistant recruiting at MD/CEO level in London. Julie Smith has been appointed as PA/HR administrator and brings over 30 years’ experience with her having worked at executive level providing PA support to HR directors. Karolina Booth takes on the role of recruitment and training administrator. She has more than nine years’ recruitment experience.

Sean Bucknall has been promoted to partner at corporate recovery and business advisory specialists Quantuma. Bucknall began his career with Numerica before working as an administrator and manager at RSM Tenon. He joined Quantuma in 2013 was promoted to director in January 2016. Working alongside partner Andrew Hosking, he has been instrumental in a number of high-profile administrations in the legal sector in recent years.
