Oklahoma City, OK, died January 9 when their home burned. They had celebrated their 58th anniversary in November. Joan was an avid eques- trian all of her life, had won many honors, and was a director of OK Appaloosa HC.

Rouge, LA, died January 13. She loved and bred Arabian Horses.


Jim McAlister, 81, Houston,


passed away January 16. He and his family enjoyed years of travel and QH competition. In 1984-1986, he was TX All-Around HP Champion. In 1987, he received the TX Amateur Sportsmanship award, and that same year, he and Top Win Boy accumu- lated 80 AQHA all-arounds.
