Bluebonnet Country Reined CHA hosted a fun-filled
weekend in Brenham January 26-28. Friday night featured a dual reined cow horse clinic with instructors Chris Dawson and Sarah Dodson. A silent auction offered baked goods plus lessons from great professionals, and it raised $1,300 to ben- efit youth scholarship awards to be given at the Memorial Day weekend event. Circuit champs included Kreese Milligan (Y- Bridle/Cattasan), Mary Carlisle ($5K-NP-Ltd/Starlights Gyp- syrose), Amy Williams (Green-Rider/General Freckles Poco), Brian Williams (NP/Georgias Starbuck), and Terry Lundberg ($1K-NP-Ltd/Dualin Dog).

standing Player awards January 27 against Auburn. Julia Purus (reining), Abigail Brayman (eq flat), and Harley Huff (horsemanship).
Texas Paint Horse Clubhosted its 2017 awards banquet
January 27, in the Cactus Room at Fort Worth Stock Show. Jerry Wayne Dobbs was honored with the Outstanding Mem- ber Award. He has been a longtime club supporter and spon- sored numerous scholarships for leadline and halter mares and geldings classes. Sabine Lazo was given the TPHC Presi- dent’s Award, recognizing exceptional leadership her school, community, APHA, and TPHC. Olivia Long received the TPHC Sharanna Shields Redfern Memorial Scholarship. TPHC Year-End Academic Scholarships were presented to Kathy Cardenas, Olivia Long, Bailey McDaniel, Justin Moody, Hannah Stokan, and Raegan Watson.
NM Buckskin HA hosted its second “shaggy show” of
the year February 4 at Bosque Farms Arena. HP champions were Millenium Assets (Novice, 19&o/Brittany Sontag), Zippo Del Oro (Open/Brenda Schlote), Dimensions In Town (18&u/Lexie Starkweather), and Miss Sontivio Remnic (WT- Open/Colleen Burns).
