Refunds of power of attorney fees!
The Office of the Public Guardian are offering a partial refund if you set up powers of attorney between 1/4/13 & 31/3/17. To claim your refund go to
www.gov.uk/power-of-attorney-refund or phone them on 0300 456 0300 (choose option 6). You will need the document reference number.
If you haven’t already set up powers of attorney, now is a good time. Waiting until you start to lose capacity could mean it will be too late and your family will have the cost and stress of dealing with the Court of Protection instead.
