Welcome to the first 2018 issue of CPD Specifier, the magazine for DCE delegates. Hopefully, 2018 will be a good one?!
We could go a whole year without an election, sort out the Brexit deal and, hopefully, have no other Grenfell Tower style tragedies?
Regardless of whatever else will be happening you can be assured that DCE has plans to carry on delivering technical presentations all across the UK.

2018 does present some challenges for DCE in our mission to try and spread the technical message as wide as possible.
The Meet the EXPERTS events provide such experienced and enlightening industry experts who disseminate their specialist knowledge in the relaxed and friendly environment of a DCE event. Their subjects are helpful to ALL construction professionals and would be of particular benefit to the generation of newly qualified SPECIFIERS. The presenters’ practical knowledge, familiarity with applications, product performance and understanding of Building Regulations is available absolutely FREE and should be taken more advantage of!
Our challenge for this year is to try and encourage more young faces, perhaps convince some of their bosses that time spent with DCE will help them become more valuable employees, and more quickly.
That’s not to say that we don’t want to see our ‘older’ friends and regular DCE attendees!!
We believe that the dissemination of knowledge at Meet the EXPERTS Technical Forums helps ALL of us to perform better professionally and produce better results.
