ADVOCACY SPOTLIGHT
Andrew Gwinnell, CASC, executive director (left) and Rep. David Trott (R- MI) at the Truvista Surgery Center in Troy, Michigan, the week before National ASC Week 2017.
September 18: National Advocacy Day Unable to attend National Advo- cacy Day in June? You have a second chance in September. ASCA will provide dinner and
a legislative briefing on the evening of September 17. You will receive a schedule of carefully coordinated meetings for the following day.
All Year: Host a Facility Tour You don’t have to wait for National ASC Month to host a facility tour. Give your federal and local elected offi- cials a hands-on experience by host- ing a tour for them. ASCA staff will help you prepare by providing talking points, background materials and cre- ating an agenda for the tour.
Danielle Kaster is ASCA’s grassroots and political affairs manager. Write her at
