In June, it was recognized Isolation Gowns
The American Reusable Textile Association has tested reusable and disposable isolation gowns to determine which is the best investment for health care facilities. The conclusion showed reusables provide a significant improvement in energy, environ- mental footprint, water and energy-associated emissions. The gowns were studied from their inception as raw materi- als in the earth to manufacture of the product, to use/reuse and to final end-of-life disposition. In our story (in the last issue) about North Shore Laundry, some heartfelt praise was inadvertently not included. “Calvin Kerr at Cal-Tech Services did 100% of the installation work on this project,” said Ned Douglas of Harco. “We could not have completed this project without Calvin’s expertise.” We’re happy to pass on the praise for a job well done.
