Are you concerned about losing hair?
The sooner you act upon hair loss, for both men and women, the wider the range of options you will have for treating the problem. Your hair surgeon will perform a full consultation and examination as part of your initial check-up. During this time, he or she will check that you do not have any underlying skin or hair conditions that may be causing your hair loss. There are many medical conditions that may affect your hair, for example, thyroid problems, low iron stores and anaemia. Occasionally some conditions may cause scarring in the scalp and these may not be suitable for hair restoration surgery; these are known as the scarring alopecias. There are some non-medical states that can also affect your hair, such as pregnancy! Hair surgeons will examine your hair and scalp with high magnification and show you the hair loss areas as well as the potential donor area, so that you can see what each individual follicle looks like. Did you also know; you do not have to shave your head for Hair Restoration treatments or surgery?
No matter what the cause of your hair problems are, we will provide you with a personalised treatment plan that is suitable for you.
