Everybodywho dances is beautiful. If youmove your body, you’re doing it right. There is one irreplaceable quality in dancers like you. It’s the freedom. You are undaunted by doing something strange, something thatmay look awkward or cause you to stumble, may make people dance as far away fromyou as possible. You have grown used to others keeping asmuch space between themand you as possiblewhen you’re on the floor.

And you do it all in the name of discovery, of passion, in the name of howfantastic it feels to fling your body across the room. Like flying, and howthe landing doesn’t feel somuch like a crash as it does that your body is a battering ram, and itwins in any fight it gets into.

So to the girlwho dances invisible: hello. I see you. The right people will, too, they’ll see that excitement forwhat it is.Be patient.

Please don’t lose that quality. Please don’t stop being afraid, and knowing yourselfwell enough to push it aside.

Please don’t stop dancing, invisible girl. You are not see-through. Dancing lets you see yourself, too.
