Welcome to ROJ T
he launch of ROJ at RWM in September was well received and
we have had excellent feedback from our members and the industry generally about the quality content the journal provides.
T e UROC stand at RWM was very busy and we enjoyed meeting many of our members and of course a number of new members who signed up to receive all the membership benefi ts UROC has to off er.
T e usual industry “movers and shakers” were all in attendance and the show fl oor was busy throughout the three days. It must be remembered a show is not judged by the number of visitors but by the quality of those visitors and the feedback from show exhibitors this year has confi rmed that quality contacts were made and business deals secured, thus meeting the expectations and overarching objective of attending and exhibiting at RWM. T e dates of the MUST attend event in our industry calendar next year are 11th – 13th September at the NEC Birmingham.
T is second edition of ROJ is jam packed with interesting news stories and updates specifi c to our sector. T ere is a lot going on, in terms of tackling illegal waste operators that undermine legitimate businesses and making the polluter pay, with a focus on what more can be done to rid of the cowboys and make sure that regulation is fair and proportionate to support our sector. T ere is also an update in relation to wood waste classifi cation and what opportunities operators can capitalise on to manage their wood waste streams.
