PROBLEM? SOLVED!

ESSENTIAL COMPONENTS

Chinese fingers, also known as cable grips or cable socks are an essential component of array, export and tower hang-off cabling operations

With installation methods and limits to working space varying from operation to operation there is often a need to keep adapting equipment to suit specific requirements. Albion Manufacturing, ideally situated in the UK near the East Anglia coastline, have developed a reputation over a number of years as a leading manufacturer of bespoke, project specific cable grips.

LEADING CABLE MANUFACTURERS AND INSTALLERS Working with the leading cable manufacturers and installers on projects across the globe their design team have provided their clients with solutions to overcome a variety of installation restrictions.

Among the many varieties of cable grips manufactured you will find items constructed from materials with high corrosion resistance, items made from non-conductive materials, items without

ferrules to lower the risk of snagging, items with extended pulling eyes of 5metres or over and many more.

PROJECT CASE STUDY

The company continues to work with a number of clients on new designs and prototypes upcoming projects. One of their recent triumphs was for a project based off the coast of Germany where there were restrictions in the internal width of the J- Tube as well as extended length through which the cable assembly was required to pass.

The company designed and manufactured a large number of Chinese fingers for this project which has now been completed successfully by their client and feedback from the operation has been very positive.

OFFERING SOLUTIONS Tom Nix, Director commented: “New methods are often being adopted by our

clients either by choice or because of limitations of the working environment. We are proud to be able to offer solutions to our clients to overcome these hurdles.

“We have established a reputation for our quality and knowledge over many years and continue to receive enquiries for a number of projects. We are however aware that we must keep our values at the forefront of our operation and continue to hold quality and reputation as our focus,” Tom concluded.
