CHAMBER NEWS CHAMBER NEWS By Richard Stevens, Chair of the Chamber Board

As a member of Devon Chamber, you were recently invited to take part in a survey organised by Board Member David Williams of Redrock to garner your views and feedback on Chamber activities. Thank you if you were one of the 20% of members who completed the survey – the largest response we have had in recent times. You have provided us with a wealth of

information that is now being analysed and discussed by Chamber staff and Board members. This information and the decisions taken as a result of it will underpin the future strategy of the Chamber and stimulate changes to how we operate, in order to better meet the needs of businesses today. Our current review covers the following areas:

• The purpose of the Chamber and the nature of its offer to members

• Communication channels with members • How we strengthen our financial stability to increase effectiveness and develop our services

• How we work with partner Chambers and affiliates

• Our structure and how this should be resourced

If you have any further views, we are keen to hear them and CEO George Cowcher is available to discuss these matters with you at any time, so do please get in touch. We look forward to reporting back on our

development plans in the near future – watch this space!
