The past twelve months have seen a new definition of the word ‘cosy’. The Danish concept of hygge (which literally translates to ‘cosiness’) has been everywhere - from what we sit on to what we sleep in to what we wear while we’re sitting and sleeping!


For the latter part of 2017 however, it seems that there’s a new kid on the block in the shape of ‘lagom’. This Scandinavian trend translates as ‘just the right amount.’ A more frugal, thoughtful cousin to the lavish and decadent hygge, lagom tells us not to put too much or too little into our lives but to find the right balance for oneself. The Goldilocks of lifestyles, if you will.
