He enjoys working with me, and he’s been a brilliant signing. “The will and determination from the team was sensational, and a special mention for Tobiasz (Musielak) because I thought he looked very accomplished, bearing in mind he wasn’t on his own bikes.” Belle Vue manager Mark Lemon said: “It was a bit of a mixed bag for us. We couldn’t find the rhythm we’re so used to having on the road, but even so the boys did a tremendous job to grab a league point.

“David Bellego was outstanding for the Robins but the difference, it has to be said, was at reserve for them. On our part, we really should have capitalised more on the absence of Jason Doyle at No.1.”

NEWCASTLE have announced the return of Stuart Robson for a fourth spell in Diamonds colours. The vastly experienced Robson, who also races for Rye House in the SGB Premiership, rejoins the Brough Park side after Lewis Rose broke his collar-bone at Edinburgh last Friday.

His first appearance in the SGB Championship will be in the Diamonds’ trip to Sheffield on Thursday July 27. Team boss George English said:

“We are desperately sorry for Lewis and he is a massive loss to us, but if anyone can fill his shoes it is Stuart and the reaction of the crowd on Monday evening when we announced our plans was so positive as Robbo is massively popular at Brough.

“As Rye House, who we thank for their co-operation, have a fixture this Thursday when we go to Ipswich, we will have to wait a week before Stuart re-joins us but we are sure it will be well worth the wait.”

SHEFFIELD have snapped up Georgie Wood to fill the final team spot available at reserve. The Eastbourne racer will take his place in the side on Thursday when Workington visit Owlerton in a key Championship clash, replacing Nathan Stoneman who suffered a

broken leg last week. Co-promoter Damien Bates said:

“We’re pleased to get back to a full seven-man team and we can kick on from here. “Georgie is keen and wants to do well for us, he will fit in well with the rest of the lads and we’re pleased to welcome him to Owlerton.”

REDCAR have announced Tobias Busch will return to their line-up this week after a lengthy injury absence.

The Bears have released Busch’s

replacement Coty Garcia after the German confirmed he was fit to resume after breaking an ankle at Peterborough in April. Team boss Jitendra Duffill said: “I’m very excited to have Tobias back and the prospect of having him and Danny (Ayres) at reserve puts a big smile on my face. There is surely no better reserve pairing anywhere in the Championship and they can be our trump cards from here on.

“I have been very pleased with the job that Coty Garcia has done for us. He has been a pleasure to work with and I am sad to see him go.”
