impressive. He was outstanding all night, and I couldn’t believe that last-minute dive on Danny King!”

Leicester manager Jim Lynch said: “We knew as soon as Kyle had dropped out in his first ride that we were going to be in trouble, and then it’s a jigsaw puzzle.

“Then we just seemed to get decisions that went against us, and I think the word ‘unlucky’ really doesn’t get there for us with what’s happened. I don’t think we had a decision go our way, and we deserved the win. “The reserves showed exactly what they can do, and it’s great to have that strength. As far as I’m concerned we did our jobs and it was a great meeting, but we really wanted those three points to get back on track.”

SWINDON have agreed terms with Wolverhampton to make the signing of Polish racer Tobiasz Musielak permanent. Musielak has impressed in his first three meetings with the club,

playing a major role in gaining 10 Premiership points to bolster their play-off hopes. Club co-owner Terry Russell said: “When we spoke to Chris Van Straaten at Wolverhampton to sign Tobiasz we agreed to take him on a full transfer. “Tobiasz has settled into the club very nicely, he’s enjoying racing for us and to score points like he has immediately is excellent. He’s the missing link we’ve been looking for.”

SHEFFIELD have solved one half of their reserve problems by snapping up experienced Danish racer Jan Graversen. The 30-year-old started the season with Somerset in the SGB Premiership before being released

as part of a triple switch by the Rebels, but now joins the Owlerton club who recently lost Robert Branford to a shoulder injury. Promoter Damien Bates said: “Jan had slipped under the radar a little bit but we looked at what he’s done and he’s a decent rider. “We’ve only got a certain amount of points to play with but to be able to bring in someone like Jan with the experience he’s got is a bit of a bonus for us really.

“That will hopefully benefit the team as a whole and we know he’s a very capable rider on his day. I think it was pretty harsh on him being dropped by Somerset earlier in the season because he’d been riding well and getting some good scores in the league above.”

EASTBOURNE extended their lead at the top of the Travel Plus National League with a 54-35 win over bottom club Buxton at Arlington.

Mark Baseby stormed to a 14- point haul for the Eagles, beaten only by the top Hitmen rider Matt Williamson in Heat 15.

Jake Knight (10+1) was also in double figures for a solid-scoring home side, whilst Williamson (12+1) and Max Clegg (8) shared the four Buxton race wins.

LEWIS Rose has confirmed he suffered a broken collar-bone in his crash at Edinburgh on Friday.

The King’s Lynn and Newcastle racer now faces a spell on the sidelines and is planning to have surgery.

Rose said: “It’s the same collar- bone I broke before. I’ve bent the plate and pulled a couple of the screws through.

“I’m heading back home to sort an operation.”
