ON THE COVER: As part of a major subway infrastructure project in Singapore, Yu Sin Engineering Work Pte Ltd successfully lowered components of a tunnel boring machine down a 100-foot shaft onto a Hydra-Slide HT300 hydraulically powered skidding system. The HT300 was then used to move components of the boring machine approximately 66 feet to its launch shaft. A variety of site obstructions made direct placement of the borer by crane impossible.
