Inside ICI Registration Opens for Investment Casting Certification Course
Enrollment is now open for the In- vestment Casting Institute’s 12th annual Certification Training Course scheduled May 30-June 7 at Pittsburg State Univer- sity, Pittsburg, KS.
Investment Casting Institute Execu- tive Director Michael Perry encouraged companies to register their personnel ear- ly, noting the 2011 training course was sold out two months before its scheduled date.
MEMBERS ONLY–
A new series of video in- terviews with investment cast- ing industry pioneers is now available on the Institute Web site’s “members only” section (
www.investmentcasting.org). Institute Executive Direc-
tor Michael Perry noted the video interviews are the result of a history project which be- gan about three years ago. “This is a history of
the North American invest- ment casting industry as seen through the eyes of the in- dustry pioneers who grew the business,” he said. “It is espe- cially timely that we collect this information now, while it is still available,” he added The 4-5-minute video clips are excerpts from longer brief excerpts or summaries of longer interviews. The com- plete interviews have been captured and will be archived for future reference. Official representatives of
member companies have been provided a password which can be used to access the members only section.
Interviews with Industry Pioneers Now Available on Institute Web Site The “members only” sec-
tion of the institute web site also features access to IN- CAST on line. INCAST Edi- tor Leland Martin indicated the “members only” section provides an on-line presence for the magazine. “As
issues are added
each month, the site will continue to maintain past is- sues. By the end of the year we will have full year avail- able on line. At that point, we plan to continue to maintain 12 months of the magazine so members will be able to locate articles from previous issues,” he said.
Another benefit of the
‘members only’ section is the ability of member companies to update their contact infor- mation as needed.
Changes in capabilities,
phone or fax numbers, web site addresses, e-mail, person- nel, all can be made by the member using the member password. A photo gallery of various Institute events is also included. Perry said he ex-

pects the members-only sec- tion to be a dynamic feature of the web site. “We anticipate as members use these fea-
tures, other ideas will come
forward...ideas we can incor- porate which will further en- hance member benefits.”
