About Hungry for Music


Hungry for Music is a non-profit organization that supports music education and cultural enrichment by acquiring and distributing quality musical instruments to underserved children with willing instructors and a hunger to play. At Hungry for Music, their most important service is putting musical instruments into hungry hands. They serve children who demonstrate a desire to learn music as well as teachers who have students willing to learn. By sharing instruments and musical experiences, Hungry


for Music gives children, who would not normally have the opportunity, to experience a kind of freedom and self-discovery that is often stifled in an atmosphere of economic hardship. All of their events, benefits, instrument drives, and CDs are aimed at uplifting those lives and enriching culture at large by spreading the availability of music education. Hungry for Music, founded by Jeff Campbell, has donated nearly 10,000 instruments in the


last twenty-two years and impacted many thousands more children. They have donated musical instruments in forty-eight states and twenty countries in the organization’s history. The program is only successful because of its supporters, and as the demand for instruments is increasing, they will need ongoing help to continue bringing the gift of music to those individuals and programs in need.
